Welcome to the Delaware Police Chiefs’ Foundation’s website.The Delaware Police Chiefs’ Foundation is a non-profit organization which has pledged to increase public awareness, involvement and support for the activities of the Delaware Police Chiefs’ Council.

Mission Statement
The Delaware Police Chiefs’ Foundation is a nonprofit organization pledged to increase public awareness, involvement, and support for the activities of Delaware Police Chiefs' Council directed at improving the delivery of police services through police Executive development, enhanced operation among police agencies, and promotion of standardization and accreditation within police departments.
History of the Foundation
The Foundation was established and incorporated in September of 1983 through the efforts of the Delaware Police Chiefs’ Council, Inc. It is the country’s only law enforcements foundation connected with a state association of chiefs of police whose membership is restricted to police chief executives and whose activities are limited to police agency improvement. Under Section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue it is exempt from Federal Income Tax.
Affairs of the Council are governed by a Board of Trustees of thirty-six persons comprised of public members and including both active and retired police chief executives.
